Description:
I want a design for a device that will rotate a wheel about 10 inches in outer diameter about 1 complete rotation back and forth. I prefer for the device to sit on the floor and rotate the wheel back and forth instead of attaching to the carriage frame since I don’t have any carriage specs and they may vary depending on which model is being used The device could attach to the wheel itself, rim or tire. It should be adjustable though to fit on a few different size wheels. It should be designed to be able to adjust to a wheel from 7 - 10 inches.
Wants:
I want it to be a simple and efficient design. The less degrees of freedom the better provided it has the required motion and functions properly. Designs with clear “Design For Manufacturing” capability will be valued more. Inclusion of the following points will also increase probability of choosing your design.-recommended material

It should be very EASY to install on wheel and set up.

Question: do you want to put a baby to sleep with this wheel rocker???? i need to know because if is for a baby it needs also to be smooth and silent....and that complicates things even more
i wanted to upload many renderings but i couldn&
;t cause i am aloud only to upload one photo....so...the answer: the mecanism is fixed on to the wheel shaft ...the entire assembly. If it can be mounted on to the shaft i think that is the best ideea for less money then buying a new electric actuator. i already have a ideea of a cheap and feasible design hand actioned and foot actioned also....i will upload both of them after i am done...thank you for the answer...it is important for me and you also to comunicate if you want a good and complete design. Catalin - I really like the concept, but it&;s unclear to me how this device will mount onto the wheel? Can you provide a rotated view that shows this?
If you can provide a mechanical hand actioned design that would be great! I&;m considering both methods at this point. The mechanical hand doesn&;t have to attach at the wheel (although it could) rather it could also attach to the middle of the frame as well. Please use your creativity to come up with a feasible design concept.

What type of actuator...electric.....hydraulic??? or do you want a mechanical hand actioned actuator....

I&;m looking more for rough sketches that depict a concept. I&;m more concerned about the concept that the actual intricacies of the CAD design.
Also, the file size is arbitrary. It can be anything, as long as the concept is communicated through the design in a clear manner.

cordage cam and hook
This is to be a prototype device so it may have a few iterations. There will be additional funds for a planned phase II of this prototype. The idea is a way to secure cordage or twine. The rough specs are 40mm long, 20mm wide and 5mm thick at the base. The cam should be modeled similarly to the look of something you would see on a sailboat. The arch must be just slightly lower than the top of the cam. The cam should be usable for 2mm-6mm cordage.
